Since Save-A-Lot opened its doors to Hinesville residents earlier this month, store manager Fred Goings said business has been steady. The store features private-label brands in a warehouse-style setup designed to reduce costs for consumers.
“We had really, really good traffic at the beginning of the month” during a traditional pay period, Goings said. Typically, the store sees the biggest crowds at midday and again between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
He said customers are pleased with the selection and with how their prices compare to other local grocery stores. “So far everyone’s been happy with it,” he said.
