The Liberty County School System will have its third annual career fair from 9 a.m.-noon Feb. 26 at the board of education building at 200 Bradwell St. Resumes and applications will be accepted for classified and certified positions throughout the district for the 2011-12 academic year. Free parking is available for participants.
Serving more than 10,500 students, Liberty County schools offer new technology and ongoing professional development for staff.
Applicants for certified positions are encouraged to bring packets containing the following documents: professional resume, copy of valid teaching certificate(s), copy of unofficial transcript(s) and copy of test scores. Administrators representing each of the 14 schools, the Career Academy and several department directors will be available to meet with applicants, accept resumes and answer individual questions during the event.
Applicants for classified positions to include but not limited to school nutrition, grounds crew, maintenance, custodians and substitute teachers should bring copies of their resumes along with any documentation that they feel is relevant to their area(s) of interest.
Like most other districts in the state, the Liberty County School System always is in need of school bus drivers. CDL training is provided free of charge to applicants who meet the district’s requirements.
For those who are interested in exploring career opportunities with the district but are unable to attend, go to the Liberty County School System website at www.liberty.k12.ga.us or e-mail resumes and related documentation to dsnorris@liberty.k12.ga.us.
