Sears store changes management
1221 Sears ribbon cutting
Sears Hometown Store owner Matt Hubbard cuts the ribbon at the Hinesville location Dec. 15 at 103B Gen. Screven Way.

Sears Hometown Store held a ribbon cutting Monday at their Hinesville store at 103B W. Gen. Screven Way.
Although Sears has been in Hinesville for quite some time, the store is under new management and held the ribbon cutting to celebrate. Owner Matt Hubbard welcomed Liberty County Chamber of Commerce members and staff to the event. Chamber CEO Leah Poole congratulated Hubbard on his business and thanked him for being part of the chamber. Refreshments were served at the event and door prizes were raffled off. Door prizes included tool kits and tool boxes among other prizes.
Sears Hometown Store carries appliances, lawn equipment, tools, mattresses and more.
“We want people to think of Sears when buying an appliance, mattress or anything in between,” Hubbard said. “We are here to serve the community. Customer service is our No. 1 goal; we want you to be happy when you go home.”
Hubbard, who also owns the Sears Hometown Store in Jesup, bought the Hinesville store last year.
Sears Hometown Store is open from 9:30 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Sunday.
