Coldwell Banker Holtzman, Realtors and The Coastal Bank will have a free, first-time home buying seminar at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the bank, 101 S. Main St. The public is invited.
George W. Holtzman, broker for Coldwell Banker Holtzman, will moderate the seminar and explain the home-buying process. Each attendee will receive a free copy of the “Coldwell Banker Home Buyer Guidebook.”
Larry Golden, CPA/owner of Golden and Associates, will discuss tax credits and their benefits to first-time home buyers. Christy Swindell of The Coastal Bank mortgage division will discuss the mortgage process. Jeffrey Osteen of Jones Osteen and Jones, Attorneys will discuss the settlement or closing process, and Mark Evans of Evans Home Inspections will talk about the importance of having a professional inspector take a detailed look at the condition of your investment.
The event is intended to show prospective first-time homebuyers the benefits of homeownership, especially with mortgage rates low and the availability of an $8,000 tax credit. Refreshments and door prizes will be provided.
“This event will be very interesting, motivating and entertaining for all attendees,” Holtzman said.
For reservations, call Holtzman’s office at 368-4300 or stop by the office at 730 Gen. Stewart Way.
