Young leaders learn about economic development

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce 2017-2018 Young Adult Liberty Leaders (YALL) class had its economic development session April 11, hosted by the Liberty County Development Authority.

Student leaders met with the Liberty County Development Authority to gain insight into the impact economic development has locally. The class visited and toured various industries located in Liberty County, such as ELAN Technology and SNF Holding Company.

Young Adult Liberty Leaders is an intense 9-month class in which class participants meet at least once per month and learn about various functions of the community, including county government, city government, public health, public education, tourism, economic development and much more.

Established in 1976, the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to support new and existing business, trade and industry within Liberty County, while increasing the cultural, civic, educational and overall quality of life of its citizens.
