BRUNSWICK, GA—The NEA Big Read will be taking place in February 2022 and Golden Isles Arts & Humanities in partnership with artist Serena Hall is calling artists to exhibit their work in the Cultural Expressions exhibit to be on display at the Ritz when Coastal GA Reads Beloved by Toni Morrison.
From February 4 – 28, 2022, the gallery will host local and regional artists displaying their individual work bound in a common theme— a reflection of pride in the many dimensions of the African-American cultural experience from the past, the present and looking to the future. Number of pieces submitted will depend on the number of artists in the exhibit and the size of the artwork as space is limited. Artists interested in submitting artwork in the show should contact Golden Isles Arts & Humanities at info@goldenislearts.org or call 912.262.6934.
“We were proud to host the Cultural Expression Exhibit curated by Serena Hall a few years ago,” said Heather Heath, executive director, “that featured so many talented artists. We are excited to have that opportunity once again.”
Cultural Expressions will open February 4, 2022 during The Big Read kick off and First Friday 5 pm to 8 pm. For more information, please contact Golden Isles Arts & Humanities at 912.262.6394 or info@goldenislearts.org.
