The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce has close to 500 amazing members, from restaurateurs to retailers and everything in between. They add great value to Liberty County and the surrounding area. Every member has a unique story of how they started and what brought them to Liberty County.

This week, we are telling the story of a local Mary K representative, Christina Dixon-Moton.

Who are you, and what is your business?

“My name is Christina Dixon-Moton, and I’m a senior consultant of Be (Come) Bombshell Unit, home-based in Ludowici. Our unit currently has consultants in 23 states across the U.S. Be (Come) Bombshell Unit is a part of the nationally recognized Mary Kay brand. Customers can choose from a variety of makeup, skincare, body care and fragrances. They also offer a men’s line of products that includes after-shave products.”

What made you start your business?

Dixon-Moton works as a full-time clinical therapist, helping clients navigate through various stages and situations in their lives. Promoting selflove and care to women is very important to her and Mary Kay became a gateway for her to do just that. “In October of 2023, I met my amazing mentor and director, Tasha Mae Miller, while attending a friend’s Mary Kay grand opening. Unknowingly to me, I was meeting a woman who would inspire me to become the leader I am today. The following day, I learned about Mary Kay’s significant impact in providing opportunities for women to become powerful business owners and leaders for over 60 years. Be (Come) Bombshell Unit cares about encouraging and helping women become the best version of themselves through personal development and community,” said Dixon-Moton.

What brought you to Liberty County?

“In July 2020, my family and I transitioned from Fort Bliss, Texas to Fort Stewart, Georgia, due to a permanent change of station (PCS).”

What’s an interesting fact about your business that most people don’t know?

“An interesting fact about having your own Mary Kay that most people don’t know about is that you choose how much time you want to put in and how involved you want to be while earning up to 50% profit on everything you sell,” she said. As a business owner, therapist, military spouse and mother of three, Dixon-Moton values the freedom and flexibility of being a Mary Kay consultant.

Do you have any advice for new business owners?

“My favorite inspirational quote and advice for new business owners is by Maya Angelou. Having courage does not mean that we are unafraid. Having courage and showing courage mean we face our fears. We are able to say, ‘I have fallen, but I will get up.’ And Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.”

What made you join the Chamber? What value have you gotten out of your Chamber membership?

“I joined the Chamber to expand my business, share Mary Kay opportunities, and establish new business connections. I have met great entrepreneurs and business owners by attending Liberty Chamber events,” she said.
