The Liberty County Chamber Foundation (LCCOC Foundation) hosted a successful Celebrity Bartending fundraiser on March 12 at The Parrot & Frog in downtown Hinesville, bringing together community leaders, local businesses, and residents for an evening of fun and philanthropy.

The event featured local “celebrity bartenders” who stepped behind the bar to serve drinks and compete for tips, with guests casting their votes for their favorite bartender throughout the evening. Participating bartenders included Lissette Vargas of Coldwell Banker Southern Coast; James Sharp, Liberty County Tax Commissioner; Derek Sills, The Heritage Group; and Kevin and Karyn Thomas, Level 10 Real Estate.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Liberty County Chamber Foundation, which supports scholarships, Sleep In Heavenly Peace and community initiatives across Liberty County.

“The Celebrity Bartending event was a wonderful example of our community coming together to support meaningful causes,” said Leah Poole, executive director of the LCCOC Foundation. “We are incredibly grateful to our celebrity bartenders, our host venue The Parrot & Frog, and everyone who came out to support the Chamber Foundation.”

The fundraiser netted more than $13,000 with The Heritage Group placing first in the friendly competition of who could raise the most/be the best bartender. Coming in second was Level 10 Real Estate/Kevin and Karyn Thomas and third was Lissette Vargas/Coldwell Banker Southern Coast.

“Events like this show the power of community,” said foundation chairman Joe Ford. “When local leaders and residents come together to support the Chamber Foundation, the impact reaches far beyond one evening — it helps us continue investing in the future of Liberty County.”

The Liberty County Chamber Foundation works to strengthen the community through educational opportunities and initiatives that invest in local students and families.
