Chamber welcomes Navy Federal Credit Union ATM location

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for the Navy Federal Credit Union ATM Site on February 14 at its new location, 755 Oglethorpe Highway, Suite D-2, Hinesville.

Katie Hargrove, branch manager of Navy Federal in Hinesville thanked those in attendance.

“A lot of my employees, as well as myself, are from Liberty County,” she said, “so we take pride in the growth of our community, and we strive every day to make sure that we’re doing what we can to exceed expectations.”

Jimmy Shanken, Executive Board Member of the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce, welcomed those in attendance and congratulated Navy Federal Credit Union on their expansion in Hinesville.

“We love to see corporate expansion in the community. The expansion not only shows the growth of your business but it’s also a sign of the strength of the community,” he said.

Vicky Nelson, Hinesville mayor pro tem, welcomed those in attendance and congratulated Navy Federal Credit Union.

“Since 2008 you (Navy Federal Credit Union) have been very active in our community. We appreciate the financial literacy classes you’ve done for the city of Hinesville, the HeadStart Program and for all those who were eager to learn,” she said.

U.S. Navy Rear Admiral (retired) Annie B. Andrews, second vice chair of the Navy Federal Credit Union National Board, also offered congratulatory remarks.

“Navy Federal is all about helping military members and their families and also helping the community that those families reside in. I am very proud of the work Katie and her staff do here and I cannot wait to tell the rest of the board about this amazing accomplishment,” she said.
