The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce and the Liberty County Convention and Visitors Bureau announce the first and second-place winners for best float in three categories from the 28th Annual Illuminated Christmas Parade.
Parade floats were judged based on the organization’s status as non-profit (Mayor’s Award), business (Chamber Award) or school entity (Superintendent Award).
For the Mayor’s Award category, The Hispanic Heritage Club won first place and Liberty Regional Medical Center won second place. The Chamber Award was presented to The Heritage Group with first place and Sauls Conveyor Belt Services and Equipment Share/ Coastal Gone Crazy with second place. First Preparatory Christian Academy was awarded first place and second place to Bradwell Institute Marching Tiger Band for the Superintendent’s Award.

This year’s sponsors included: the Liberty County CVB, Georgia Power, Hinesville Downtown Development Authority, The Heritage Group, State
Farm Melissa Carter Ray,
JC Lewis Ford, Interstate
Credit Union and Clearwave Fiber. The parade has been held in Hinesville for the past 28 years and showcases businesses, groups and organizations from all over the county and surrounding areas. This event has attracted over 15,000 spectators, is live-streamed on WTOC and will be televised on Christmas Day.
