HINESVILLE, Ga. (Mar. 17, 2020) – The Hinesville Municipal Court and Hinesville Probation offices strongly encourages our defendants and probationers to utilize online methods of payment in the coming weeks to practice social distancing. During this time, customers will not be charged the online convenience fees for their payments. These charges will be absorbed by the City until further notice. Municipal Court Payments and Instructions: To pay a citation online, you will need your citation number (found on your citation) or your driver’s license number. Probation Payments and Instructions: Defendants wishing to pay their probation online must contact their Probation Officer to receive an account number. Probation Officer Abbott – 912.368.8198 or kabbott@cityofhinesville.org Probation Officer Long – 912.368.8205 or rlong@cityofhinesville.org Municipal Court Dates: As reported, the Georgia Supreme Court has issued a Judicial Emergency order (signed and filed on Saturday, March 14) that began on Monday, March 16 and remains in effect until Monday, April 13 until 11:59 p.m. This has caused several court dates to be rescheduled. Below is a list of dates for rescheduled court hearings: • The court date of March 18, 2020 has been rescheduled to Wednesday, April 15, 2020. • The court date of March 25, 2020 has been rescheduled to Wednesday, April 22, 2020. • The court dates of April 1 and April 8 has been rescheduled to Wednesday, April 29, 2020. Reschedule letters will be mailed to the address on your citation. If you have questions regarding your rescheduled court date or court fines/fees, please contact the Municipal Court at 912.368.8026.
