Hinesville City Manager Billy Edwards is out of work this week, recovering from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident Thursday.
"It wasn't really much of a wreck, more of a low-speed accident," he said Tuesday morning.
He said he was in riding in Thomson Thursday evening, but had come to a near stop when his bike fell over on his leg, breaking it.
The injury is keeping him out of his office this week, but Edwards said he has been told he will be able to go back to work next week.
He said he has ridden bikes all of his life. "My dad had bikes back as far as I can remember, but I didn't own one until I was in college," he said.
