City to hire solicitor for municipal court

The Hinesville City Council voted Thursday to appoint a municipal court solicitor in one month’s time. The council will consider nominations for the newly created position from council members at its April 15 meeting. Hinesville’s municipal court solicitor will prosecute all cases involving state traffic offenses, city ordinance violations, and misdemeanor and marijuana possession cases which occur within the Hinesville city limits.
