Goodwin University

EAST HARTFORD, CT Hunter Harrell has earned a spot on the Goodwin University President’s List for spring 2025.

Hunter, a student from Ludowici, is one of 321 students to make the President’s List, reserved for those who demonstrate exemplary academic performance. Inclusion on the President’s List requires a student to earn a 4.0 GPA during a given academic session.

Piedmont University

DEMOREST - On Friday, July 18, Piedmont University conferred degrees to eight undergraduate and 78 graduate students, who earned master’s and Education Specialist degrees.

Among the graduates was Melody Tompkins of Ludowici, who earned a Education Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction Ini Cert degree.

University of North Georgia

DAHLONEGA - For the summer 2025 semester, the University of North Georgia (UNG) awarded more than 400 degrees and certificates to graduates.

Jayce Ortiz Lopez of Hinesville graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Jayce Ortiz Lopez also was named to the President’s Honor Roll at the University of North Georgia for achieving a 4.0 grade point average during summer 2025.

Troy University

TROY, ALA. - Beajan Setayesh of Ludowici has been named to the Chancellor’s List at Troy University for the summer semester/Term 5 of the 2024-2025 academic year. The Chancellor’s List honors full-time students with at least 12 semester hours and a 4.0 GPA.
