The American Red Cross desperately needs blood donations and will be hosting several local blood drives in Liberty County as follows:

8/3 The Midway American Legion at Liberty County Community, 9397 East Oglethorpe Highway from noon until 6 p.m.

8/9 Connection Church, 116 Patriot’s Trail from noon until 6 p.m.

Fort Stewart Drives The Fort Stewart drives are restricted to those that have base access.

8/5 at 6th and Gulick Building 661 from 11a.m. until 4 p.m.

Blood, just like milk has an expiration date. Please help us make sure there is blood to help our comrades, neighbors and families. To make an appointment go to 

Bethel AME Church Citizens Relying on Spiritual Servants (CROSS) C.R.O.S.S. in conjunction with the Second Harvest Food Bank of Savannah are open to those in need on the 4th Saturday of every month. Food Bags will be given out from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.

C.R.O.S.S. has a clothing ministry giveaway on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month. The ministry is open from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. School Uniforms are also available. Aug. 17

The Liberty County Convention & Visitors Bureau (LCCVB) will host its bi-monthly board meeting on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at the Historic Bacon Fraser House located at 208 East Court Street Hinesville, GA. The meeting purpose is to make decisions, discuss previous events, go over the agenda, plan and evaluate future events, promotions, and solve any problems. It is open to the public.
