C.R.O.S.S. in conjunction with the Second Harvest Food Bank of Savannah are open to those in need on the 4th Saturday of every month. Food Bags will be given out from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. C.R.O.S.S. has a clothing ministry giveaway on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month. COME & TAKE IT.” Thus was the famous response that American Col. John McIntosh sent to British Lt. Col. Lewis V. Fuser in reply to his demand for the surrender of Fort Morris on Nov. 25, 1778 during the American Revolution. This is your opportunity to step back in time and witness a great moment in American history. In remembrance of this, Fort Morris will host its annual event “Come and Take It! on Saturday, Nov. 20. The event will begin at 10a.m. with a wreath laying ceremony by the Daughters /Sons of the American Revolution to commemorate the event and those who served. Soldier talks, musket drills, cannon demonstrations, colonial music with Jamie Keena, and more will follow from 11am until 4pm. In partnership with Liberty County Manna House there will be a Thanksgiving food giveaway from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Riceboro Youth Center, 5649 South Coastal Highway. The giveaway will be first come first served until all food items are gone. Turkey, ham, can goods and more will be given away to residents of Riceboro and the surrounding areas.

The Liberty County Board of Elections and Registration will hold its monthly board meeting on Monday, November 22 at 4:00 PM at 100 Main Street, Hinesville, GA 31313. The meeting will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room.
