Oct. 8

The second annual Bradwell Institute Tigers basketball golf outing will be held Saturday, October 8, at Cherokee Rose Country Club. The event is sponsored by the Bradwell Institute boys’ basketball program and Liberty County Sheriff William Bowman. The format is a four-man scramble and the cost is $60 per player, which includes lunch. Registration will be held from 12:30-1:45 p.m.

Lunch will be at 12:45 p.m. with a shotgun start at 2 p.m.

Prizes will be awarded to firstplace team, second-place team, closest to the pin, longest drive and hole-in-one. Four-man team sponsorships are $240 and hole sponsorships are available for $100. Checks should be made payable to Bradwell Boys Basketball, 100 Pafford St., Hinesville, GA 31313. Call Coach Randolph at (912) 306-9814 to register.

Oct. 15

Annual Pumpkin Patch festival Oct. 15, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Bryant Commons Park. The ITPA telephone museum will be open. The local Shrine Club will be selling pumpkins.

There will also be a variety of free family-friendly games and activities.

Oct. 28

Annual Scarecrow Stroll in downtown along Main Street.

Trick or treating will be from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. The evening will continue with a block party from 8-11 p.m. with music from Victory Drive Band, and several food vendors. The HDDA will also play the movie “Hocus Pocus” at 8 p.m.

Bethel AME Church Citizens Relying on Spiritual Servants (CROSS) C.R.O.S.S., in conjunction with the Second Harvest Food Bank of Savannah, is open to those in need on the fourth Saturday of every month. Food bags will be given out from 9-11 a.m.

C.R.O.S.S. has a clothing ministry giveaway on the second and fourth Saturday of every month. The ministry is open from 8-11 a.m. School uniforms are also available. Bethel AME Church 233 Gause Street, Rev.
