Santa meet

Dec. 11

The Marne Chapter will host a Holiday Social “Cookies & Cocoa “Decorating Cookie Event. At the USO, Ft Stewart. This event Soldier & family friendly event is complementary to all who attend. The event is from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at 1639 Gulick Ave. Fort Stewart.


Dec. 12

The Executive Leadership Luncheon, hosted by the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce is set from noon at the Liberty County Performing Arts Center, 2140 East Oglethorpe Highway. The guest speaker will be Eren Page. She is a widely sought after speaker and considered a trailblazer for diversity and women in business. For more information email: operations@libertycounty.org


December Family Night hosted at Chick-fil-A Hinesville from 4-7 p.m.. There will be arts and crafts. Kids can write letters to Santa Cow and take pictures with Santa Cow. Participants will receive 4 count Chick-fil-A Nuggets kid’s meal or 1 count Chick-N- Strip kid’s meal free with the purchase of an adult meal. 


Dec. 13

The Liberty County College and Career Academy is hosting their holiday open house from 5-7 p.m. Learn about the programs offered at the school and meet the students currently enrolled in a variety of programs. There will be stocking stuffer available for sale from baked goods and items made by the students. The LCCA is located at 245 Dorsey Road. For more information call (912) 876-4904.


The folks at Farmers Natural Foods will be hosting their 36th annual Holiday Open House Customer Appreciation Sale Dec. 13-14. There will be food, prizes, raffles, demonstrations on a variety of topics and free samples. There will be a 20 percent discount on regular priced merchandise and 60 percent off discounted clearance items. Sale excludes already discounted red tag items, smoothie and juice bar orders, Frozen Meats, and Fresh Produce. Patrons are encouraged to come out and meet the vendors and be eligible for the raffle prizes and samples.


Dec. 14

The 13th annual Wreath for Warriors Walk ceremony takes place from noon until 1 p.m. The ceremony is free and open to the public.


Local author Tamara Frazier will be hosting a book signing at 9 a.m. at the Chick-Fil-A in Hinesville. Frazier will be signing her new children’s book “Your Own Kind Of Beautiful” as well as reading the book to the children in attendance. The Chick-fil-A is located at 877 W Oglethorpe Highway, Hinesville.

Dec. 15

The Christmas Cantata will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Midway United Methodist Church 215 Martin Road in Midway. It will feature the choir from First Presbyterian Church.


Dec. 16

The Liberty County Board of Elections and Voter Registration will have its monthly meeting at 4 p.m. Monday Dec. 16. The meeting is open to the public. The location of the meeting is at the Historical Courthouse, 100 Main St., Suite 1600.


Dec. 17

The VFW Post 6602 will host their 2nd annual Community Outreach Christmas Dinner at noon on Christmas Day. The free Christmas dinner will be at 931 E.G. Miles Parkway in Hinesville. Come in, out of the cold, and enjoy a free meal and warm friends.

 

Dec. 18

The Liberty County Special Olympics Bowling tournament starts at 10 a.m. at Marne Lanes Bowling, 54 Steele Ave # 402 Fort Stewart. 


Dec. 19

The Hinesville “Homegrown & Handmade” markets will take place in Bradwell Park Thursday Dec. 19 at 3 - 7 p.m. Hinesville Mainstreet Program Coordinator Jeffrey Porter says it’s a great time to pick up fresh produce, cakes, pies or smoked turkeys and find the perfect handmade gifts that add a special Hinesville touch to holiday celebrations. Third annual socks for the homeless drop off event


The Liberty Regional Homeless Coalition will have their third annual socks for the homeless drop off event from 4-7 p.m. Dec. 19 at Bradwell Park. The event will have a special visit from Santa Claus.
