Fort Stewart soldier Amir Camp and his wife Cynthia both recently made bail after being charged with malice murder for their alleged involvement in the death of their 2-year-old daughter Serenity Blue.

The couple were arrested March 20. According to a press release from the City of Hinesville, at approximately 12:24 p.m. on Friday, March 8, an officer of the Hinesville Police Department, along with Hinesville Fire First Responders and Liberty County E.M.S., responded to 719 Robin Hood Drive in reference to an unresponsive child.

At the residence, first responders observed the lifeless body of Blue.  HPD detectives responded and a death investigation began with the assistance of the Liberty County Coroner’s Office.

On Monday, March 11, an autopsy was performed at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab in Savannah.  Results of the autopsy lead to the arrest of Amir and Cynthia Camp for the offense of malice murder. Amir is the step-father to Blue and Cynthia is the mother.

Both were initially denied bond.

On May 1 Amir Camp bonded out after posting the $55,100 bail. On May 30 Cynthia Camp bonded out posting $27,600. The condition of her bond agreement was that she have no contact with her other children, who were placed with family.

On Aug. 16, Cynthia Camp’s bond conditions were amended allowing her to phone, Skype and Face-Time with her other children. However she was still to have no personal contact with her other children unless authorized by the court.

No other trial or hearing has been set at this time in the case.
