Looking for a place to do it all? Downtown Hinesville is the perfect spot. The entire area is ADA accessible, so you can shop until you drop at Molly Maxine and Southern Roots Boutique and browse gifts made by local artisans at Martin Mercantile! Bradwell Park is also downtown and features a splash pad, amphitheater and tables that are great for a picnic. Many community events are also hosted here, so plan to visit and attend the annual Small World Festival or one of our bi-annual food truck festivals!

Our local art gallery, the Hinesville Area Arts Council is also located downtown. Stop by to learn about classes offered throughout the year and enjoy the current exhibit from a local artist. On your way out, head over to the side of the building to see Liberty County’s only mural!

Feel the coastal air while you indulge in beautiful views at the Riceboro dock or the Sunbury boat ramp. These are also great spots to cast a line, so don’t forget your rod and reel!

If you’re a history buff, you’re going to want to visit our state historic site, Fort Morris. It’s the only revolutionary site with the original earthworks in Georgia!

The visitors center and museum are both accessible and there is an ADA golfcart kept on site for tours. Enjoy learning about how the fort was used to protect the former town of Sunbury hundreds of years ago while also catching glimpses of the St.

Catherines Sound.

Immerse yourself in nature at Cay Creek Wetlands Interpretive Center! The elevated boardwalk is 7/10ths of a mile long and makes its way through several different ecosystems.

There is signage located along the way, so visitors can learn about the tidal and freshwater wetlands and the creatures that inhabit it. Stoll along the path and learn something new! If you’re looking to head off of the beaten path a bit, make your way over to the Historic Baptismal Trail in Riceboro. It also features a boardwalk and signage and holds tons of history as it was an active holy place for over 100 years!
