Stephanie Jones-Heath, the CEO of Diversity Health Center, has been recognized by Georgia Association of Primary Health Care by receiving the 2019 Dale S. Chapman Administrator of the Year Award.
The Award spotlights an administrator of a primary health care program for the achievement of excellence in leadership, administrative direction, and management, resulting in the improvement or expansion of services to the community.
Diversity Health Center staff and supporters believe that healthcare is something that everyone needs at every stage of life. At Diversity Health Center, health care professionals provide primary health care to residents in Liberty and Long counties regardless of age, income, insurance coverage, or place of residence.
The center exists to fill a gap in healthcare services for Georgia residents, primarily for individuals and families at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level. Unlike a free clinic, the center’s charges are based on a sliding fee scale that takes into consideration the number of persons in the family and a patient’s total income.
The center provides primary healthcare to anyone and accepts most insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare.
Patients are not turned away, regardless of their ability to pay.
