The Georgia Department of Natural Resources announces the cancellation of the annual CoastFest event, originally scheduled for this Saturday, Oct. 5, at Mary Ross Waterfront Park in Brunswick.

The cancellation is due to a variety of logistical factors and DNR staff being redirected to assist with critical debris cleanup and recovery efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

DNR remains committed to the safety and well-being of coastal communities and natural resources. Its teams are on the ground working to restore impacted areas.
