One person is dead, one in the hospital following a domestic dispute in Hinesville’s Summerwind Condos.

According to Assistant Hinesville Police Chief Maj. Tracey Howard one person is dead following a shooting which was the result of a domestic dispute.

Howard said a man succumbed to his injuries after being shot in the chest.

According to Howard, the man, identified as David Perry, 46, is alleged to have shot the woman, identified as Jasmine Williams, in the abdomen during a dispute. Williams wrestled the gun from Perry and shot him in the chest. 

Perry was transported to Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville where he was pronounced dead.  Williams was taken to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah and released.

The shooting took place shortly before midnight.
