Early voting draws more than 1,000

More than 1,000 Liberty County residents have cast their vote during this week's advanced voting for Georgia's presidential preference primary and today is the last day for others hoping to avoid election day lines.
Staff members at the Liberty County Voter Registration Office reported 1,036 votes had been cast in the county as of Thursday, including two days with vote totals around 300 each.
Early voting is taking place inside the voter registration office on 102 S. Commerce Street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Residents planning to take part in advanced primary voting are reminded to bring the required photo identification that must be shown to poll workers prior to voting.
