Rosario makes GSU dean’s list: Juan Rosario of Hinesville, a pre-nursing/nursing major at Georgia Southern University, was named to dean’s list for the 2012 spring semester.

To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must have at least a 3.5 grade-point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

Three area sailors help form program: Three sailors with area ties recently formed a Coalition of Sailors Against Destructive Decisions committee with fellow sailors aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise.

Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Erie L. Boyd, a 2005 graduate of Long County High School; Navy Airman Jerome L. Gunn, son of Connie Gunn of Hinesville and Jerome Gunn Sr. of Hinesville; and Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Athena M. Williams, a 1999 graduate of Liberty County High School helped form the committee.

CSADD is a peer-to-peer mentoring program geared toward helping sailors make positive decisions in all areas of their lives from addressing problems such as sexual assault to everyday issues such as car buying.

Boyd joined the Navy in January 2006, Gunn joined in November 2008 and Williams joined in September 2000.

Brown graduates from BPC: Tiffany Moore Brown of Hinesville graduated from Brewton-Parker College in Mount Vernon following the June 2012 term.

Brown earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in human services.
