Bradwell Institute senior Chanelle Craig recently was accepted at Duke University.
Craig, a YMCA of Coastal Georgia Teen Achiever for four years, plans to major in biology and become a physician’s assistant.
Craig’s mother, Sherie Craig, believes her daughter’s involvement with the YMCA played a role in her successes.
“Chanelle has been involved in programs at the Y since she was a young girl. She enjoyed sports such as gymnastics and swimming and, as she got older, she became a Teen Achiever and began working with the Y on Wheels program,” she said. “I can’t thank the Y enough for all the opportunities they have offered Chanelle to help her grow and get where she is today.”
