The Liberty and Long county school systems will be closed to students on Tuesday due to weather conditions.
Liberty Superintendent Dr. Judy Scherer and Deputy Superintendent Dr. Cheryl Conley both confirmed the cancelations here Monday afternoon. Teachers and staff are asked to report at 10 a.m., and the board of education work session still is at 9 a.m.
Long County's closures include Smiley Elementary, Walker Middle School and Long County High School, according to Superintendent Dr. Glen Purcell. The closures apply to both students and staff.
