The Snelson-Golden Middle School class of teacher Cathy Rutland received a visit from a team of Savannah Technical School of Dental Hygiene students Monday, April 27.

Principal Dr. Sonia Bacon welcomed the team.

Team members Leighann Rutland-Cook, Mary Tankersely and Rob Maccarini gave the students a presentation on the methods and importance of taking good care of one’s teeth. Methods discussed included brushing twice a day, flossing daily, eating a balanced diet, omitting or at least limiting sweets and seeing a dentist on a regular basis.

Each student received a dental-care package including a toothbrush, paste and floss.
