On March 6 the Utilities Protection Center of Georgia's mascot, Digger Dog, met with students in second and third grades at Waldo Pafford Elementary School to encourage them to "call before you dig."
At each stop the mascot shared safety information and had some fun, as well as explaining the importance of not damaging underground utility lines by digging safely, what not to do around overhead power lines and how to be safe if the lines are down. He also discussed the odor that is added to natural gas and what students should do if they smell it.
Dog left behind an activity book and information for students to take home.
