Before school let out, Lyman Hall Elementary School Principal Claire Blanchard set a two-day goal of 800 Accelerated Reader points at an 85 percent performance rate for the students and agreed to let them splash her with water if they achieved it. After the students hit the goal, they enjoyed dousing their principal with a bin of water. Accelerated Reader points are calculated based on the number of words and reading level of the book.
