Georgia’s Path2College 529 Plan is offering the first-ever “Saving for College Makes a Difference” essay contest, in which families can win $529 toward a college-savings plan.
To enter the contest, entrants must complete and submit an original essay, no more than 300 words in length, describing how saving for college will make or has made a difference in their lives or the lives of their families. The contest is open to Georgia residents who are at least 16 years old, but parents and grandparents are encouraged to share stories on behalf of younger children as well.
Submitted essays will be judged on originality, creativity and organization. Four entrants will be chosen as winners. The first winner will be selected Nov. 11 from all eligible entries, and an additional winner will be selected weekly during the following three weeks.
All essays must be submitted online at www.Path2College529.com by 11:59 p.m. Dec. 2. Each winner will receive a college savings contribution of $529 and be featured on a billboard in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
Official contest rules may be found at www.Path2College529.com.
