Publishing student writing encourages reluctant writers, strengthens self-confidence and promotes literature.
Studentreasures has donated materials and publishing resources to Frank Long Elementary School. As part of the program, the company requires students to return a permission slip, even if they choose not to order a book. Students in grades 3-5 can write individual books and receive a free copy.
The students in the younger grades will contribute to class books and teachers receive a free book of the class story. Parents can also buy copies. Homeroom teachers and the media specialist have additional permission slips.
