GED tests given in Jesup

GED tests will be given in Jesup at the Scott Polytechnical Center, Room 434, from 5-9 p.m. Sept. 10-11.
Candidates may register in person on the Jesup campus at 1:30 p.m. or 3:30 p.m., Sept. 6 in room 436. They may also register on the Baxley Campus at 3 p.m. Sept. 4 in room 130.
The registration process will take about an hour. Candidates for testing must be 18 or older and must bring a picture ID. Also, candidates who are age 18 or 19 must bring a high school withdrawal form. The test fee is $95 or $19 for each one of five content areas. This fee is payable at the time of registration. Late admittance to registration and testing is not allowed. For those interested, free GED preparation classes are available. Day classes are offered Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon. Night classes are offered Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5-9 p.m.
