Georgia Governor Nathan Deal, along with Armstrong President Linda Bleicken and other military leaders, city officials and state legislators, broke ground Wednesday at the site of the new Armstrong Liberty Center, slated to open in summer 2015.

The 21,000 square-foot building, located at Memorial Drive and Welborn Street in Hinesville, will replace the current, smaller Liberty Center, located on E. General Stewart Way.

The new facility will include classrooms, science laboratories, faculty and staff offices, common areas, student services and support areas, according to the ceremony's program.
