Graduates received VVA scholarships

Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 789 recently presented scholarships to two outstanding graduates.  

Kaylee Taylor, daughter of Sharon and Russ Taylor, is a graduate of Bradwell Institute. She was active in BI clubs, extracurricular activities and softball while maintaining a 3.7 grade-point average. Kaylee also participated in several community-service activities. She will attend Georgia Southern University and major in business administration.

Tiffany Erickson, daughter of Amanda and Joshua Erickson, is a graduate of Liberty County High School. She was active in LCHS clubs, extracurricular activities, sports and Junior ROTC, where she served as platoon leader and company executive officer. She maintained a 4.0 GPA. Outside of school, she completed 97 hours of community service. Tiffany will attend the University of North Georgia and major in pre-med with the goal of being a pediatric oncologist.  

To be eligible, each had to be a descendant of a Vietnam-era veteran.
