STATESBORO -- The Georgia Southern University chapter of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society recently inducted 344 new members.

Following is a list of area students who were inducted:
Whitney Adams, Shayna Brown, Dennis Luong, Stacy Pringle, Nicholas Radunske and Deborah Rodriguez-Garcia, are from Hinesville. And Carly Patterson is from Midway.
To become a member of Phi Eta Sigma, a student must earn a gpa of 3.5 or greater during their freshmen year.
"Membership in Phi Eta Sigma is conferred on those who give promise of continued excellence in their academic pursuits," said Christopher Caplinger, faculty advisor to the chapter and director of the university's First Year Experience program. "Once inducted, individuals are members for life."
