Liberty County High School Principal Dr. Paula Scott officially announced Wednesday that she is retiring at the end of the school year.

Scott said she informed LCHS teachers and staff Tuesday of her intention via email.

Scott has been at LCHS for 23 years. She first served as assistant principal for four years and has been the principal for the past 19.

This announcement comes a few weeks after Assistant Principal Willie Graham announced his retirement after serving many years at Liberty County High as an administrator and as varsity boys’ basketball coach.
