Liberty County Elementary celebrated Constitution Day on Monday with students, staffers and parents. LES music teacher Lisa Johnson directed the program, which put the school in accordance with the 2004 federal law that mandates all publicly funded education programs must recognize Constitution Day.

Students were treated to a Liberty County High School JROTC flag-corps presentation under the leadership of Lt. Colonel Sutton, and the children sang “Grand Old Flag” and the national anthem. School psychologist Aaron Anderson performed “America the Beautiful” for the crowd.

Principal Chris Anderson closed the ceremony with a brief history of the Constitution and the day on which it’s celebrated.
