SAVANNAH — The student affairs team from Savannah Technical College’s Liberty Campus traveled to Atlanta last month to receive the Governor's Commendation for Customer Service. They were honored to be among the 39 chosen from across the state for recognition. Now, the team has learned it’s in the running for the Governor's Annual Award for Excellent in Customer Service and are among a group of finalists to be honored Sept. 28, at the Georgia World Congress Center.
In announcing the selection, College President Kathy S. Love thanked the team members.
"Thanks for making Savannah Technical College shine. This award verifies that a customer service mindset goes a long way toward making our customers feel welcome and makes their college experience a pleasant one," she said.
The group is one of two finalists from the Technical College System of Georgia.
The nomination was made by Anthony Adams, an instructor in the computer information systems area at the Liberty Campus and a student advisor.
Savannah Technical College is a unit of the Technical College System of Georgia and serves 4,700 students each quarter with campuses in Savannah, Effingham and Liberty counties.
