The Long County Board of Education honored recent retiree Jeannette Johnson with a plaque when she wrapped up her career at Smiley Elementary School after working 22 years in the school system. Long County BoE members Dempsey Golden, Emma Strickland, Billy Hall, Linda DeLoach and Florence Baggs and Smiley Elementary School Principal David Edwards attended the ceremony.
