Long County FBLA students show skills

Students from Long County High School’s Future Business Leaders of America club attended the Region 3 Leadership Conference on Jan. 20 in Jesup.
The following students earned medals in their events:
• Dalton Long, second place, word processing
• Paul Lascuna, second place, impromptu speaking
• Jennifer Rowe, sixth place, introduction to technology concepts
• Jonathon Gould, seventh place, desktop publishing
• Kalee Woodard, seventh place, desktop publishing
• James Caswell, 10th place, introduction to business

Other students competed in the following categories:
• Business calculations/personal finance: Shelby Siefken 
• Business communications/personal finance: Haley Riddle
• Business math: Jeanette Palmer
• Business communications/economics: Brittany Heath
• Entrepreneurship: Latreisah Ashley

“The students like the competition because it gives them the opportunity to display what they have learned in the classroom as well as demonstrate various activities and skills in their daily routines,” LCHS FBLA advisor Pamela Smith said.
