ATLANTA -- A student from Midway earned a scholarship and slot at The Art of Institute of Atlanta in the school's recent Fashion Your Future Scholarship Competition.
Ramone Greene-Badlwin won a $5,000 scholarship.
Four young people had been selected as finalists from nearly 80 entries in the contest. They were asked to created display windows at Macy's at Perimeter Mall March 29, vying for tuition scholarships of $1,000 to $10,000 to the fashion & retail management program at The Art Institute of Atlanta.
The four finalists had from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on that day to create exciting, imaginative window displays featuring a prom dress and accessories from Macy's.
Greene-Baldwin's prize was for second place. He is expected to start studies at the school in the summer quarter.
Judging the displays were school faculty and employees of Macy's.
