Emergency crews were called to Liberty Elementary School in Midway on Monday after two school buses clipped each other on their way out of the parking lot after dismissal.

The accident happened at a low speed, and no children were hurt, according to Liberty County School System Superintendent Judy Scherer. The buses were waiting to pull onto Edgewater Drive from the school campus.

Calling for ambulance assistance is standard protocol in such situations to ensure students receive adequate treatment if injuries occur, Scherer said.
