Liberty Elementary students who reached their individual Accelerated Reader goals for the fourth grading period of the just ended school year recently got a party thrown for them at the school.
The celebration included a puppet show presented by Curious Moon Puppets.
Annual awards were also announced during the event. The student from each classroom who earned the most AR points received a super reader T-shirt. Four students were recognized among all of Liberty Elementary’s students. Logan Volmer received a prize for being selected the most improved reader in grades K-2, while Alexis Barnes received a prize for the K-2 student earning the most AR points. She earned 209 points. Chelsey Barber was selected the most improved reader in grades 3-5, and Matthew Allen earned the most point with 534 points.
