Phillips to speak at AASU

SAVANNAH — Army Reserve Maj. Gen. Jeffrey E. Phillips, former deputy commanding general of the 3rd Infantry Division on Fort Stewart, will give a lecture at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at Armstrong Atlantic State University’s Armstrong Center in Savannah.

Phillips’ lecture, “The Imperative of Leadership,” is free and open to the public at the center, 13040 Abercorn St.

Phillips, assistant deputy chief of staff, G-1, on the Army staff, served as deputy commanding general of the 3rd ID until March 2011, when he moved to Washington, D.C., to serve in his current position in the Army’s staff section responsible for human resources.
