Students at Waldo Pafford Elementary School delighted to see their principal, Dorothy Cottom, lifted onto the roof of the school Thursday, Nov. 19.
Once on the roof, she read “The Principal from the Black Lagoon” to students to celebrate their reading achievement.
Earlier, Roxanne Lee, the school media specialist challenged students to read 3,000 books in honor of Children’s Book Week. Students reach the 3,000 book goal, and exceeded it by reading 5,781 books in three days.
