A visit from U.S. Rep. Jack Kingston (R-Savannah) helped a group of Fleming Boy Scouts move ahead in their training. Boy Scout Troop 461 met with the congressman at McDonald’s on Highway 84 in Hinesville as part of the requirements for their first class rank and to receive their national citizenship badge. Many of the boys and their parents took the opportunity to ask questions and take photos with the representative, while Kingston explained his work as a member of the Defense Subcommittee, the importance of serving the country and supporting U.S. troops. Joining the scouts and scoutmasters was Attorney Bob Pirkle.
