Each  month, Smiley Elementary School honors students who consistently exemplify positive character traits.
Teachers choose students from their homerooms based on the character theme of the month. One recent month’s theme was conflict resolution/self-control.
The students chosen received certificates and coupons for ice cream cones at McDonalds.
