Students in Dr. Jana Shields’ health, safety and nutrition class at Liberty County High recently were certified in CPR and first aid. Fifteen students participated in a daylong training session with firefighter Casey Hale. At the end of the session, each participant took and passed a skills test. The CPR/first aid certification is a required standard for the HSN class in the early childhood education pathway.
