As a part of Red Ribbon week, sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students at Snelson-Golden Middle School battled each other to see who could collect the most canned goods to donate to Manna House and win an ice cream party. On Friday, representatives from each grade exchanged cans for words of thanks from the Manna House workers.

The sixth grade won with 450 cans, the seventh grade collected 75 cans, and the eighth grade collected 255. “It’s an activity to give back to the community and the students have. It’s  a great thing,” said SGMS Principal Chris Garretson.
